It might seem strange to coming from me but I positively ADORE Halloween. I just love it! The costumes, the excitement in the air, the free candy...okay, that last one might be my sweet tooth talking, and it is my sweet tooth that is the inspiration for my costume. Since I have to wear a costume at work in celebration of the holiday I've decided to go as the Toothfairy! I managed to save enough for a cute little dress, the wings, and shoes to match not that they fit.
Maybe this year they'll be trick-or-treaters at the door! I've never been in a place where you get a lot of kids, but our building has so many kids that we have to at least get one or two before going out for the night!
I really can't wait!

Someone pinched my butt at work today. I couldn't believe it! It was my first time ever seeing this man in the diner and he just takes it upon myself to freely pinch at my butt like it's his property. I was so taken off guard by it that I dropped the try of food I was carrying. I wanted to slap him, but he's lucky enough that I don't believe in physical violence.

The bookcase that Gray is building me looks nice. Then again it's still just a pile of wood but the drawing he has looks spectacular. All my books will fit on it without a problem and theres even a special spot for a lamp! This is the happy note.
The sad note is I dropped an entire cake at work today. Chocolate frosting all over my front and the floor of the diner. Needless to say the chef wasn't too happy with me since he'd just spent an hour and a half making the thing. It wasn't my fault my shoes don't fit right and trip me up
Sidenote? Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs is hilarious. And his stomach is stronger than mine will ever be.

Last night was the first night Gray and I spent in our apartment. I have to say it made for an amazing Thanksgiving, sitting in the living room on a couple blankets with the fire going and boxes surrounding us. And we might not have had the time for turkey but he made some amazing food for us. I made him a milkshake and did all the dishes to make up for it.
Marissa, you'll be getting something in the mail for the newest addition to your family!

I went looking for a Halloween costume today, thinking I might dress up since I'll be at the cafe most the night. Sadly they don't have any Ugly Stepsister outfits. If I dress up I might go as a Retro Gal. Who knows.

Work has been killing me lately and I can't seem to get my head into it. Today I completely blanked on everything including the menu that hasn't changed in a year. Life just has me so stressed lately. And the swelling in my ankle from when I sprained it last is back.

My birthday was amazing!
Though all of my cousins forgot to wish me a happy one
My boyfriend picked me up from work, slow danced with me and then took me to his place to cook me lamb for dinner...which was amazing.
The cafe is giving everyone the last half of the month off to do some remodeling...PAID.
Meaning I'll have a ton of time on my hands and no idea what to do with it all.
I'm open to suggestions.

I woke up this morning and realized I was late for work. For the first time in almost five years I had to call my boss and apologize for not being there at my scheduled time. But the craziest part of it is that I didn't feel bad, well, not as bad as I should have. I think it was because I woke up happy for a change! Not the general happy that most people feel, but actual smile on my face happy! .:Private:. Even when I looked over and saw that Grayson was actually there still and I got that embarrased look on my face and jumped up from the couch I was STILL happy. .:End Private:. It's such a strange feeling, one I definitely wouldn't mind having again.

I don't know how it happened....but I actually have tomorrow off.
Usually it's only Sundays, and every other weekend Saturday.
Apparently my boss said I was working too hard and I was being forced to take the day off......with pay!
I didn't think people were that nice anymore.
